About us:
Resonare is a center where holistic therapy, somatic bodywork, and artistic creation come together to allow transformation and personal growth. We are located on the hillsides of the Central Valley in Costa Rica, with a view over the valley and its mountains. Annemarie Kinsman, founder of Resonare, has over fifteen years of experience in holistic healing practices, including sound healing and energetic kinesiology. Artists and therapists from around the globe have shared their knowledge, their work, and their time at our center, and we aim to keep Resonare open to future collaborations that resonate with our mission statement.
Resonare was born in 2013 from a vision: “Growth arises from conscious inner awareness, leading towards a more profound connection with others and with one’s environment.”
Today, Resonare works through three different areas that we have named LISTENING, TUNING, and RESONATING.
About Annemarie:
Annemarie Kinsman was born and raised in Switzerland. For many years she worked in education in various schools in different continents. She began as a teacher and later became a principal at a private school in Costa Rica where she was a mentor for students, staff and parents. Together with her husband she raised two sons in Costa Rica, where the family has lived since 1997.
As a primary school principal Annemarie connected with Elsa Noemi Am, the founder of Diagnóstico Energético Integral®, an energetic kinesiology. Over 15 years of continuous studying, she has various diplomas in different holistic healing areas, including sound massage therapy from the Peter Hess institute in Germany and D.E.I.® Kinesiology from Elsa Noemi Am.
Annemarie’s drive to understand life, her belief in the importance of rediscovering your true self, together with her gift for connecting with people from all walks of life, led her to creating a unique and complementary combination of energetic kinesiology and the ancient healing properties of sound.
In 2013, she founded Resonare in Costa Rica with the vision of offering the world her knowledge of healing practices.
In her work with children, adolescents and adults, Annemarie draws on her sensitive nature as well as on her wealth of experience in education. She speaks English, Spanish and German; Swiss German is her mother tongue.
Sound Massage with Tibetan Singing Bowls:
Using theraputic Tibetan singing bowls, Annemarie creates soothing vibrations that penetrate the body, releasing tension and expanding consciousness. This method, developed by Peter Hess, fosters emotional and physical healing while activating the body’s self-healing abilities.
The sound massage promotes a profound connection with the true self and supports the release of blockages to encourage deep relaxation and inner balance.
Diagnóstico Energético Integral (D.E.I.)®:
Through D.E.I.®, a specialized form of kinesiology developed by Elsa Noemi Am, Annemarie identifies and clears energy blockages using muscle testing.
This therapy helps clients release trapped energy, gain insights into emotional patterns, and restore balance across physical, emotional, and energetic levels.
Kinesiology’s muscle testing system allows the body to reveal the root causes of stress or discomfort, guiding Annemarie in choosing the most effective approach.
Whether addressing emotional wounds, physical pain, or self-destructive patterns, kinesiology promotes balance and healing by empowering the body to restore its own harmony.
Kinesiología:
In many of her sessions Annemarie uses her voice in therapeutic sound-oriented singing. The overtones released through this type of singing resonate with our organs and other bodily systems, such as our nervous system. The resonating effect brings movement into blocked energy, dissolving and releasing tension.
Annemarie is currently training to become a Pansori Living Sound therapist. She also leads courses in therapeutic sound-oriented singing.

Annemarie Kinsman’s approach to therapy is deeply personal and individualized. She believes that true healing comes from within, and her role is to facilitate the body’s natural ability to heal and restore balance.
